I cannot get into the Footer365 portal

What each "Access denied" or "Page not found" message means in the portal, and what to do about it.

Last checked against Footer365 on 28 October 2026

You sign in to the Footer365 portal with your normal Microsoft 365 work account. Signing in to Microsoft is only half of it: Footer365 then checks that your organisation uses Footer365 and that you have been given access to the portal. If either check fails, you see a page headed Access denied, and the message on it says which one.

"Setting up access"

This is not an error. The first time someone signs in who is entitled to access, such as a Global Administrator, Footer365 creates their portal access. The page counts down and takes you into the portal on its own. You can also select Continue now.

"Your organisation is not registered with Footer365."

Footer365 does not recognise the Microsoft 365 organisation you signed in with. Check:

  1. You signed in with the right account. If you have more than one Microsoft account, for example a personal one, a guest account in another organisation or a second work account, you may have signed in with the wrong one. Select Sign out and sign in again with your work account.
  2. Your organisation has signed up. If nobody has started a trial yet, start one at Start free trial.

If both are right, contact support and tell us the domain you sign in with.

"Your account does not have access to the Footer365 portal."

Your organisation uses Footer365, but you have not been given portal access. Portal access is separate from getting a signature: everybody gets their signature, but only the people chosen to manage signatures can sign in.

Ask someone who already manages Footer365 in your organisation to add you under Access, then Users. They choose a role that decides what you can see and change. Giving colleagues access

Good to know:

  • Global Administrators in your Microsoft 365 organisation are given access automatically once Footer365 is connected.
  • Exchange Administrators can be given access automatically too, if your organisation has switched that on. Automatic access for Exchange Administrators
  • A shared mailbox or a disabled account cannot be given portal access, because nobody signs in as it.

Footer365 has not been given access to your Microsoft 365 organisation yet

This message means admin consent has not been granted, or has been removed, so Footer365 cannot check whether you are an administrator. A Global Administrator needs to open the setup link and grant consent again, then everyone signs in again. The "reconnect Footer365" banner and Connecting Microsoft 365 explain how.

"Your organisation's Footer365 account has been suspended."

The Footer365 account for your organisation has been switched off. Contact support, or your reseller if they bill you, to find out why.

"You do not have permission to access this area."

You can sign in, but your role does not include the page you tried to open. For example, Billing and Access need their own permissions. Ask a Super Admin in your organisation to change your role if you need it. Roles and permissions

If you see a banner saying you have view-only access to this area, you can open the page but not change anything on it. That is also decided by your role.

"Page not found"

The page says This page does not exist, or is not available to your organisation. You see it for an address that is mistyped or no longer used, and for a page your organisation does not have. Footer365 brings out some pages to a few organisations first and to everyone later, and can take a page back while it is being changed. A page your organisation does not have is left out of the menu, the search and the Roles page, and opening its address, for example from an old bookmark or a link a colleague sent, shows this page. It is the same for every person in your organisation, Super Admins included, so a role cannot change it.

Nothing you set up on the page has been lost. Select Back to the dashboard, or Go back to return to where you were. If you need the page, contact support or your reseller.
