Every new organisation may take one 30-day free trial, which starts when your administrator connects Footer365 to Microsoft 365 administrator connects Footer365or another email platform. Nothing is charged during it, and you can cancel it at any time at no cost.
Your free trial lasts 30 days from the day a Global Administrator of your Microsoft 365 organisation gives Footer365 admin consent, or, for another email platform, the day its administrator gives Footer365 the access the service needs, and its end date is shown in the customer portal from then. You do not need a payment card to start it, and nothing is charged during it.
If a payment method is in place when your trial ends, your paid subscription starts the day after, on the billing option you chose, for at least the number of user mailboxes we count in your Microsoft 365 organisationdirectory that day, as section 8 describes them. We invoice monthly in advance, and a card is charged when each invoice is raised. If paid service starts part-way through a month, your first invoice also charges for the whole days from then to the end of that month, in proportion to the month's price.
The fees for the rest of a committed term are not payable where section 9 says so. If we bill you and we end your agreement for your material breach during a committed term, the fees for the rest of the term become due at once, as under option 2 (section 16.5 of the Customer Agreement). If your organisation enters a formal insolvency procedure, section 16.3A of the Customer Agreement applies. If you are established in the European Union and switch to another provider under the EU Data Act, section 6.7 of the Customer Agreement applies instead: you may leave a committed term on two months' notice, paying only the term discount you have used. If you claimed we approved your claim to our switching offer and cancel on any day of your free months, your committed term is cancelled like any other, whose first and last days are shown in if you pay the remainder now, the portal and in the email approving your claim, switching offer credits still to come are taken off it (section 6.8 of the Customer Agreement applies instead: ). If we took more than 7 days to decide your claim and your free trial has ended, you pay may instead cancel until we decide, paying what a monthly subscription would have cost, the monthly price for eachevery day from the end of your free monthstrial up to the day your subscription ends, less what we have invoiced or will invoice for those days, and nothing more for the term. For exampleIf you head an organisation group, if the rest of your free months run from 15 November to 14 February and term, whichever option you choose, is for your own seats only (section 5A.6 of the Customer Agreement). If you cancel on 31 Decemberpay the remainder now, your group ends at the end of the month in which you pay cancel and every other organisation in it is billed directly from the monthly price for 15 November first day of the next month; if you run to 31 Decemberthe end of the term, the group continues until your last day of service. The organisations in your group are told when you cancel.
If you do not choose, the subscription renews for a further term of the same length, at the price in our latest renewal offer. Whichever term it renews for, its committed seats are the user mailboxes we count in your Microsoft 365 organisationdirectory on the day it renews, as section 8 describes them: fewer than before if you have fewer mailboxes, more if you have more. A renewed term is a new commitment, and section 6 applies to it. Section 6.5 of the Customer Agreement sets out the renewal in full.
You do not choose or change a number of seats. Each month you are billed for the user mailboxes in your Microsoft 365 directorydirectory that the service reads, not counting shared, room and equipment mailboxes (section 6.6 of the Customer Agreement), so a mailbox you add is billed from the next invoice and a mailbox you remove stops being billed from the next invoice. If the service lets you leave some people out of what it reads from your directory, those people are not counted. The billing page of the customer portal shows the number you are billed for.
Credits, where they arise, are applied to future invoices and are not paid out while your subscription continues. Any credit left when your account is closed is applied to your final invoice, and the rest is refunded. Credit earned under our referral scheme is applied to your invoices in the same way, but it has no cash value and is never refunded: any of it left after your final invoice lapses, as the Referral Terms say.
8A. Optional services
Some optional services are charged separately from your subscription, at the price shown in the customer portal before you choose them. Such a service is charged by the day, from the day you first use it to the day you stop, on your next invoice, and you can stop using it at any time. It has no notice period and no commitment, and it is not charged for any day after your subscription ends.
A customer who buys through a reseller cancels through that reseller, and any refund to that customer is a matter between the customer and the reseller. A reseller that stops trading with a customer remains responsible to us for that customer's subscription under this policy, except that, once we have confirmed that a customer has entered administration or liquidation, its reseller may end its subscription without paying for the rest of a committed term, under section 4.1B of the Reseller Agreement and as section 16.3A of the Customer Agreement allows. That exception does not apply to a customer that simply stops paying its reseller.
we remove the transport rules and mail flow connectors Footer365 created in your Exchange Online tenant, so your email flows exactly as it did before, and turn Microsoft 365's own signature settings back on for your users where Footer365 turned them off; if you turned them off yourself, turning them back on is for you;
we then delete your data within a further 30 days, or, if removing what Footer365 created in your tenant is not finished by then, as soon as it is finished or found impossible, as set out in our data processing terms and privacy policy, apart from what the law requires us to keep, such as invoices; copies in our backups are deleted as those backups expire, within one month, and are never restored to the service.
